As part of the ongoing STEP programme (Support Therapy to Educate People), a talk on “Bone Health (fix if before it breaks)” was organized on April 23, 2011 between 10-12 noon.
Dr. Sriraam Mahadevan, Consultant Endocrinologist, Sundaram Medical Foundation delivered the lecture to the general public.
He outlined the problems leading to osteoporosis and emphasized the regular intake of calcium and the importance of vitamin D to prevent such problems in the later years of life. More than 35 of them along with few SMF doctors attended the talk. |
