CAN-STOP organized three oral screening camps for the Madras Transport Corporation Bus drivers and conductors at Perambur, Ambattur Industrial Estate and at the Private Bus Depot, Koyambedu.
A total of 250 of them were screened in all three places. Doctors sensitized the participants on the ill-effects of tobacco and reiterated the dire need to overcome the dependence at the initial stages itself. The participants were very receptive and took help from the counselors to quit smoking.
