CAN-STOP along with Madras Medical College & Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital organized the human chain on May 31, 2011 in front of the hospital premises.
Dr. Vijay, Honorable Minister for Health, Tamil Nadu along with Principal Health Secretary (Incharge) Mr. Vijayakumar honored the occasion. More than 500 medical, paramedical professionals along with CAN-STOP volunteers participated in the human chain and awareness rally. Dr. Vijay said India is the second leading country in the tobacco epidemic and it’s high time, the tobacco users give up the habit.
